ABSTRACT

Quantitative discrepancy between the vessel motion parameters (when her pro-pulsion system is used) obtained by means of simulation and those obtained in natural conditions raises the problem of the ship mathematical model efficiency when it is based on the results of model tests in experimental tanks (Hoffman A.D., 1988), in a wind tunnel and in automated control systems. Therefore, the problem of the parametric identification of the vessel mathematical model is very important (Moiseev, 1979), (Udin and Pashentsev, 2006). In this article the authors propose one of the approaches to solving this problem with the help of the mathematical apparatus of the variational calculus.
